[ thezinetype // summer ]

A submission for the first thezinetype magazine. My interpretation of the theme yellow was a logotype of the word summer which I hand drew then tidyed up in Illustrator.

[ what is thezinetype? ]

"A zine - an abbreviation of the word fanzine, itself originating from the word magazine - is most commonly a small circulation, non-commercial publication of original or appropriated texts and images. More broadly, the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest."

The basic idea is that each month people submit some work, which can be anything at all! The zine is designed and evolves from the work submitted. Then sent out as a 'PDF' to everyone who has contributed and whoever else is on the mailing list. Fun, thought provoking and be good to see a collection of submissions from different disciplines. The more people you tell about 'thezinetype' the more people view your work, nice!
